Here’s a post I made earlier this week when I heard about actor Robin Williams committing suicide.  The country is still reeling from it, though the news that he had Parkinson’s Disease softened the blow for many. It gave them a reason why he might have done it.  Just the same, the message is always that there’s another way…you always have to have HOPE.  Here’s my post from earlier this week:

Very sad news tonight…with Robin Williams, a truly beloved comic and actor, losing his life to severe depression…While there is always more to a story like this one, it’s a warning to everyone to avoid lingering in a depressed state. Instead, please ask for some help. I tell so many clients that it’s fine to have a sad hour or even a day, but get through it as quickly as you can and express gratitude for everything you have. And for those who can’t get through it alone, there’s no shame in that — often it’s the most caring and sensitive souls who hit a rough patch and struggle way too long with profound sadness. Consult a counselor, family members or others who will lift you up, because there is ALWAYS HOPE…I’m praying for Robin, his family and his friends tonight — this is such a terrible and very public loss that has already affected thousands of people — including many members of the MPS Community…
